PAERIP Information session (Alexandria, 19 Jan 2012)
The PAERIP Information session has been designed as a side event to ERAfrica (ERANET for Africa: www.eranet.eu) workshop (January 18-19, 2012), for funding parties from Europe and Africa to discuss and agree on the nature and topics of the joint activities as well as the available resources. Participants included ERAfrica consortium members, programme owners and managers from Europe and Africa, international donor/funding organizations and potential business partners. Capitalizing on the mobilized interested and committed funding parties from both continents, PAERIP info session aimed at promoting and enhancing African-European cooperation on Research Infrastructures, with a specific focus on FP7 instruments and other similar initiatives.
Main objectives were to:
- Raise awareness on the PAERIP project objectives and activities.
- Unveil early PAERIP findings on the analysis of existing research infrastructures in Africa.
